SALES OF PROPERTY. - ;f; At Mr. J.' Thornes's land salerooms today an allotment at the foot of College Hill, having 33ft frontage by 90ft, was sold by auction for £330. A property in Angleseastreet, previously submitted by auction, ■was sold for £325. , . Messrs. It .C. Carr and Son sold by auction yesterday a six-roomed house in Fentonstreet, Rotorua, on Government lease, with 95 years to run, the price realised being; £34d. ■■•-•: Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons held a sale of land at the Haymarket yesterday. The attendance was large, and bidding was spirited. A suburban property, consisting ol 39ft by 160 ft frontage to Mosoley Avenue, ; Devonport, and containing a dwelling of five . rooms, was passed in at £4z5. A property comprising 25 acres 32 perches, in the parish of 'Waikumete, with a small cottage, caused some spirited bidding, and was sold at £370. The late John C.jUard's farm of 684 acres at East Tamaki was offered, starting at £30. It was passed in at £38 10s per acre. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held a very successful auction sale of the well-known Kains Hill Estate, Canterbury, on Saturday last. The property was one of the earliest selections on the peninsula, it having been taken up by the fate Mr. W. Manson, prior to the arrival of the first four ships. Competition was spirited, and prices were very satisfactory. The various blocks were disposed of as follows:—Lot 1, 81 acres, to W. H. Firmston, at £35 per acre; lot 5, 252 acres, and lot 9, 73 acres, to W. H. Firmston, at £16; lot 2, 31 acres, to A. R. Fleming, at £37; lot 3. 563 acres, to Q. C. TODAY'S SALES. The Narrow Neck Beach Estate. Devonport, will be sold by public auction on the ground at 2.30 p.m. to-day by Messrs. 1. Mandeno Jackson. This estate is situated on the Rangitoto Channel, and is easily accessible from Auckland, either via Devonport or Bays water. The terms of sale have been made extremely easy, thus bringing the sections within reach of all. Free conveyances will meet all Devonport steamers from Auckland from noon until two p.m., to-day, and run to the estate. The magnificent Junction Estate, Penrose, has been subdivided into 41 sections, with frontages on Mount Smart Road, Wall's Road, and Olive Road, which latter runs right through the property. Mr. Louis Lewis, instructed by the trustees in the estate of the late Mr. J. J. Odium, will offer these sections for sale on the ground today, at 2.30 p.m. The estate is within two minutes' walk of Penrose Junction, from and to. which 50 trains run daily The journey to town only takes 24 minutes. The soil is all rich volcanic, and it is a specially healthy locality . Messrs. Smith and Ilalcombc will sell by auction at three o'clock this afternoon, on the ground, 27 sections, into which the Malvern Estate has been subdivided. The estate is close to Te Papa pa station, school, etc.
