BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
The Auckland Stock Exchange, which was closed on Saturday, reopened yeeterday, when business was brisk. Waihis remained at the prevailing price on Friday, sales being made at 59s 6d and 59s 3d. There were further buyers at 595, but sellers asked 59s 9d. Waihi Grand Junctions were firmer, and a good deal of business was done at from 31s 9d to 32s to 31s 9d to 31s, with more shares wanted at 31s, but holders asked 31s 3d. . Waiotahis were easier, transactions being recorded at from 6s 6d to 5s Id to 5s 2d. More shares were wauled at 5s 2d, but there were no sellers at that figure Occidentals were also easier, shares changing hands at Is lOd and Is 7d. More shares were available at Is 7d, but buyers quoted Is 6d. Kuranui-Caledonians were firmer at the opening call, sales being made at 2s, the prico later falling to Is lOd. More parcels could be obtained at Is lOd, but buyers only offered Is 9d. The only sales in investment stocks were Takapuna Trams (ord.) at 245, and Auckland Gas (old) at 67s 6d.
