Returning Officer for the Electoral District of AUCKLAND EAST, do hereby; give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 21st day of November. 1911, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will bo held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member for the said district;and that the latest hour, for receiving Nominations of Candidates will be Noon on the 27th day of November. 1911; and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken sit the several Polling Places of the said district on the 7th day of December, 1911. Every man desirous of becoming a Candidate must be nominated by not less than Two Electors of the district, by a Nomination Paper as prescribed by Section 105 Ol the said Act. delivered to the Returning Officer on or before Noon of the 27th day of November, 1911. Rutland-street (Principal) —Booths Nos. 3. 4, 5, and 6. St. Andrew's Hall. Lower Symondsstreet—Booths Nos. 7, 8. and 9. St. David's Schoolroom. Khybcr Pass Road—Booths Nos. 10. 11, and 12. Grafton Football Club Hall. Eden-street. Mount Eden—Booths Nos. 13 and 14. Primitive Methodist Scholroom. corner of New North Road and Greenwoodstreet—Booths Nos. 15, 16, and 17. And I do hereby give further notice that, simultaneously with the taking of the above Electoral Poll on the said 7th day of December, 1911. and at the said several Polling Places, a Licensing Poll of the Electors of the said district will be taken, in. pursuance of the said Act and its Amendments, and of the Licensing Act. 1908. and its Amendments, upon the following proposals: — I VOTE FOR CONTINUANCE. I VOTE FOR NO-LICENSE. And concurrently with the taking of the. said Licensing Poll there will be submitted for the determination of the Electors of the said District the question whether National Prohibition shall come into force throughout New Zealand.
