STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
A fair amount of business was done on the Stock Exchange . yesterday. Sales were made in Waihis at 61s, with further sellers at 61s and buyers at 60s 9d. Waihi Grand Junctions changed hands at 345, and there were further sellers at that price, but buyers were only offering 33s 9d. Talismans wers sold at 60s 3d. Occidentals were somewhat firmer, sales being made at Is 8d to Is 7d to Is Bd, and the closing pi'ico was: Sellers, Is 9d; buyers,ls Bd. There was a drop in Waiotahis, which had a rise the previous day, sales being recorded at 4s Id at the first call, but falling to 3s 8d at the third call. In investment stocks South British Insurances were disposed at 69s to 70s, with further sellers at 70s. Northern Steamships (paid up) changed hands at 15s 7d.
