Mr. Herbert Samuel (PostmasterGeneral), speaking at Belfast, declared that the Government was unflinching in its resolution to carry Home Rule. • The rights of the Ulster Protestants would be amply safeguarded. * ■ , Mr. John Redmond, m" a speech at Manchester., said the Nationalists did not' demand a co-ordinate Parliament such as Ireland- had before the union, but a Parliament subject to the supremacy of Westminster.
