DR. MAWSON'S EXPEDITION.
WHALING VESSE(_ SECURED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— I Copyright. London, May 22. Dr. Douglas Mawson has purchased the whaler Aurora, of 386 tons, specially built for work in the ice, for his Antarctic expedition. The Aurora has hitherto been used in the Newfoundland whaling industry, and has proved a staunch little craft. She will arrive in London on June 8, and will there refit, and be rigged as a barquentine. The Port of London authority will remit the dues and will give free wharfage , to the vessel. The Daily Mail fund has reached £10,000.
