A medal handicap (players to choose their own partners) will bo nlayed' by the members of tho Auckland Golf Club at the, Middlemoro Park links to-day. :, A The official opening of tho season will take place next Saturday, when mixed foursomes will bo played by members of the Auckland men's and' ladies' clubs, and afternoon tea will be served to guests. The committee request that members will 'arrange-: their partners from the ladies' club as early as possible in the week. ■ ' TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. The Ngamotti Golf Club, New Plymouth, is arranging a tournament for Easter, play to* take place on April 15, 17, and 18. The principal event is the Taranaki amateur championship 'and teams match combined with medal handicap.. Bogey handicaps will also be playod. < HAMILTON CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. At the annual meeting of the "Hamilton Golf Club the committee reported that they had made arrangements for a three years' lease of the old links, and the arrangements for the opening -were well advanced. Tho financial statement shows a. satisfactory position, the debit balance being £1 4s, as against £3 17s Id last year. Officer? were elected as follows:—President, Dr. Douglas; ■ vice-presidents, Messrs. Gillies, Worsley, McLeod, and Soifert; general committee, Messrs. Swarbrick, Ward, Shepherd, and Shand; hon. secretory and treasurer, Mr. C. F. Bond; ground committee, Dr. Douglas and Messrs. Swarbrick and Mirams; Match Committee, Messrs. Swarbrick and Shand; ladies' committee, Mrs. Douglas, Mrs. C. Holloway, and Misses Hunter, McCallum, and Rothwell. * A number of new members were elected. In accordance with notice given a motion was carried increasing the men's subscription to 30s per annum. '
