[by TELEGRAPH. CORRESPONDENT.]

Owhango, Tuesday. The Wellington Land Board has now traversed all the valleys in ; Kaitieke, seen the sections, .and interviewed the majority of settlers. In very few instances were the farmers on holiday, and the settlers were found hard at work on their land. Few complaints were made, except in regard to roads. .-{„;. The ■,.. Commissioner usually, recommended capitalising thirds in order to raise ■ sufficient to widen the tracks into dray roads. This could bo done without prejudice to any Government votes that might be granted. The Board now proceeds to inspect the large blocks in the South Retaruke district to be shortly opened up. They complete their labours at Raetihi by Friday next, from there proceeding to Wellington. '
