Liverpool and referring to Persia, said that the contentions -of the Labour party had turned out to be well founded. Sir Edward Grey's blundering was going to result in Britain's borders for the first time becoming coterminous with Russia, thus weakening her j position in India, with the accompaniment of more militarism scares, and ultimately conscription. Berlin, October 20. The Vossische Zeitung says that the formation of British-officered detachments of Persian troops amounts to the translation of the defunct Macedonian system to Persia.
