"WEAK-KNEED ACTION."

SYDENHAM CLUB INQUIRY. [BY tslecratii.— press association.] CKRi.STcmraciT, Friday. The Christehurch Prohibition League tonight resolved to protest against the weakkneed action of the Minister for Internal Affaire in agreeing to receive a deputation from the Sydenham Working Men's Club, in view of the fact that the case had been investigated by a magistrate, before whom the club had been given every opportunity to defend itself. The league also deplores the fact that three members of Parliament should propose to use their political influence to bolster up an attempt to interfere with the course of justice.
