was honoured by members of the Legislaf tive Council last evening. - . The toast of: " Our Guest" was proposed p % by the Speaker of the Legislative Council ; ; (Hon. Sir Chas. Bowen), and a suitable t' j replj was made by Mr. Fowlds. The ;- Prime Minister proposed " Success to the
J South African Parliament," and speeches '.were also made by the Hons. J. B. Calr; lan and H. F. Wigram and the Hon. Dr. Findlay. Songs were contributed by the Hon. J. Carroll (Native Minister) and the Hons. J. Rigg and W. C. F. Cam--7 cross.
There was a large gathering of members of the Legislative Council and the >;• .Executive.
