BASKETBALL.
The third annual meeting of the Devonport Basketball Club was held at the residence of Mrs Barr. There was a good attendance of members and intending member The election of officers for the ensuing year followed the reading of the secretary and treasurer report, and resulted as follows :-President, the; Rev. Ivo Bertram; secretary and treasurer, Miss B. Bongard; captain, Miss Muriel Barr; vice-captain MiH« G Grey; committee, Misses W. Smton, M. Ttorr M Joyce, and M. Burke. The prospects ™&* romin* season are considered satisfactory, and the Sub hope to enter three teams in the shfelds competition. The initial practice of the seasonl will take place at the publ.e school ground next Saturday efternoon, when all intending Jlayers are invited to attend.
