LABOUR IN VAIN.

DISAPPOINTED BURGLARS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —rBESS ASSOCIATION.] CuniSTcnuncn, Thursday. A stork situated on Armagh-street extension, at Linwood, was entered by burglars during last night. Entry was gained by boring with an augur several holes in a panel of the front door, and forcing out a piece of wood about 6in in diameter. By this means, the key, which had been left in the lock on the inside, could be reached and turned, and access made easy. Money was evidently the object of the thieves, as the till had been tampered with, but the result must have been disappointing, as it had been cleared before the store was closed. With the exception of a number of packets of cigarettes, which-\vere taken away, the stock was not interfered with.
