SEAMAN'S NARROW ESCAPE.
. [BY telegraph.—rarss ASSOCIATION.] Napizb, Tuesday. A seaman named Higgins narrowly escaped losing .his. life while assisting to berth the Wanaka to-day. He became eniangltd in the mooring lines; and was carried round the barrel of the winch, which was stopped just in time to prevent a fatality. . Higgins had two ribs broken, and one shoulder badly hurt.
