NO VOTE THIS YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] • Wellington. Tuesday. It will 'be noticed that ho vote appeared on the Public World Estimates for the new Auckland University College. . The Minister for Education (the Hon. G. FowldsV stated in reply to a question from the Herald representative to-night that the matter will have to stand over till neat year. Legislation, he says, would be necessary to:vest the Government House site in the College Council, and this cannot be passed before next session. The postponement of the Land Bill also has some bearin?, on the matter in regard to the proposed revenue from the national endow r ments, .which it is proposed to apply to University purposes.
