Timaru, Tuesday. The Conciliation Council sat to-day to consider the demand of the labourers in the grain and wool stores for an ordinary wage of Is 6d per hour. The employers are standing by the current award of Is per hour, while the workers have offered to accept Is 3d, which the employers said they cannot afford. No agreement was arrived at, and the matter will go'to the Arbitration Court.
