DETAINING A CHILD.

Wellington, Tuesday. At the Supreme Court to-day Alfred Charles Warren, who was retried on a charge of child abduction, pleaded guilty to wrongfully detaining the child, but stated that he did not know the law. He was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
