CHERRY MINE RESCUES. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright ; ■' ; ! London, November 21; Reuter's New York Agency reports, that many touching scenes were witnessed at the- pit's mouth at the Cherry mine when the survivors were brought to the surface.

The wife of one of the Italians rescued kissed'his rescuers' feet, and then made v her children do the same.

A thrill of excitement and alarm was caused when half the rescues had been effected, t but the fire temporarily stopped the work!

A score of fresh volunteers de : scended, and soon extinguished/the outbreak. ■
