THREE KINGS COLLEGE SPORTS., '| Beautiful weather prevailed on Saturday,, when the boys of the Three Kings College-s .' j held their first sports meeting. A large . number of visitors journeyed out to th» college, and they were treated to a most i interesting afternoon's sport. A good track ' had been prepared, and as is usual amongst; >. Maori lads rivalry was very keen, and "soma good performances were registered, and cloea' finishes witnessed. In the invitation race," ' in which representatives from St. Stephen's) . College competed, the. Three Kings boys -, secured a decisive victory. The senior championship was won by R. Rangi, with ■' ■'■<'• 12 points, W. Hauraki being runner-up, with nine points. The junior championship was easily annexed by Te Wetini who scored nine points. The following were the principal officials:— of Sports Commifcteer the Rev. J. H. During the afternoon tea was dispensed by Miss Simmonds, and at the conelusion of the sports the boys sang the National Anthem, and gave cheers for the ■. visitors, the principal (the Rev. Simmonds), , and the St. Stephen's College boys, who ' ■ were present. The function proved a success in every respect, and the officials are. to be* congratulated on the success which attended f -* ... their efforts. A largo number of prizes wera r presented by friends.
