THE FLOWER SHOW.
Thk Auckland Horticultural Society's flower show was continued at the Choral Hall on Saturday, a large attendance of the public viewing the very fine collection of summer blooms exhibited.
During the afternoon Mrs. C. D. Grey, the Mayoress, presented the successful exhibitors in the children's classes with their prizes. * '■■■ ■ The society made a special feature of the children's exhibits, which were admirable and gave evidence that the essential desire of the society, that of instilling a love for horticulture into the young people, was being materialised to a very great degree. ! The evening saw the conclusion of the show, the blooms being sold by auction.
