PRISONERS AT THE BAR.

[BY telegraph.—press association-.] Wellington-, Sunday. At the Supreme Court yesterday Alfred Binder, for common assault, was sentenced to three, months' hard labour. John Tancred, charged with breaking and entering, in whose case two juries had failed to agree, was remanded, on bail, till the next criminal sitting. Henry McGill was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment for receiving stolen property. Richard Henry Pratt, charged with stealing cattle, at Ngahauranga, was found not guilty.
