Mr. Hogg had a very sympathetic hearing, and at the conclusion a motion was carried unanimously tendering him the thanks of the meeting for his courage in defending the welfare of the democracy at the sacrifice of his personal interests, and expressing the opinion that by his action he had shed lustre on the public life of the Dominion.
