AUCKLAND CLUB'S CHAMPIONSHIP.

The final of the Auckland Golf Club's championship will bo played at Cornwall Park links to-day between J. Burns and P. Upton. An interesting match is anticipated. The mixed foursome- set on tho season's programme for decision to-day will not be played until after the. New Zealand championship meeting, the probable date being September 25. Tho final match in the Ernest Bloomfield competition will be played on September 11. The programmes for the New Zealand golf championship meeting are now in tho hands of tho secretary of tho Auckland Golf Club, Mr. W. W. Bruce, and may bo had on application. WAITEMATA CLUB'S TOURNAMENT. Tho following is the draw for the foursomes match to be played on the Waitemata links to-day: —Wyatt and Leckie play Cooke and Blackburn, Kallonder and Warner play Johns and Ward, Atkinson and Goudie play Clouston and J. C. Macky, Lo Sieur and Bouillon play Storey and Philson, Hall and Brown play McNeil and Howell;. Guinness and Carter play Smythe and Brabant, Howden and Laird play Nettleton and Hudson. There was again delightful weather for the ladies' golf championship to-day, and the links were in admirable order, so much so that Mrs. Guy Williams, ex-champion, who is in excellent form, put up a links record (ladies) of 89, the previous best being 92. The Ladies' Golf Union par for the green is 82, so that Mi's. Williams' handicap of seven in the Ladies' Golf Union list could exactly match the difference.
