Some interesting financial details in connection with the Broken Hill strike were <uveii in a circular letter from the unionists of that district, received by the Auckland Trades and Labour Council last night. It was stated that up to April 7 last the following amounts had been received from the States named and from New Zealand: —New South Wales, £5052; South Australia, £2788; Victoria, £2629; West Australia, £2362 ; Tasmania, £255 ; Queensland, £493; New Zealand, £30. In Broken, Hill £7873 was raised, and the amount received from private donations, concerts, etc., was £2520. The grand total from all sources to the date named was given as £24,358, whilst expenditure to tho same date was set dowa at £21,969.
