OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.
[by telegraph. —OWN correspondent.]" : Hamilton, Wednesday./"' A tire broke out in a six-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. Fry, *. situated at Heaphy Terrace, Hamilton East, at tliTee o'clock this morning. ' The owner was away at the time, but Mrs. Fry and the child were ; sleeping in the /■' house. ■ When the alarm was given the house was hopelessly enveloped in '■ flames, and, along with the contents, •it '■ was completely destroyed. ■ /The insurances are not available. ., : : " / BLAZE AT WAIHI. . "; [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] '? Waihi, Wednesday. / Shortly after six o'clock this evening the central firebell and the '• Waihi Gold Mining Company's whistles sounded an alarm of fire,' and the brigade responded promptly. The outbreak was found to be in a shed hear the river bank > used by Messrs. Pattison and Lockington for the .storage of kapok and other materials. ) The inflammable nature of the contents, coupled with the distance to be traversed, prevented the brigade rendering much assistance, and the shed and contents were practically destroyed. : The insurances are not known, but the loss will hot be a very heavy one under any circumstances.
