TRENTHAM RIFLE MEETING

THE CAMP ARRANGEMENTS.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Tbknthau, Wednesday. The weather promises to be fine for the opening of the New Zealand rifle shooting championship meeting to-morrow. There are at present 45 officers, 300 noncommissioned officers and men, and 181 rifle club men in camp. Tents to the number of 200 have been erected for the competitors, and nine marquees are also available. This is in addition to accommodation occupied by members of the Permanent Artillery, who are acting as markers. The camp arrangements this year are excellent, and nearly all the competitors have decided to remain under canvas instead of being located in farmhouses as in former years. Rifle club and volunteer matches at 200 yds, 600 yds, and 800 yds will be entered upon in the morning. These will occupy practically the whole day. ,
