FEDERATED SOUTH AFRICA.
THE CAPITAL QUESTION. By Telegraph —Press Association.—Copyright
Capetown, January 25. The South African Convention has not yet come to a decision upon the question of where the capital of the Federation shall be situated.
A recent cable from Capetown stated that the selection of a Federal Capital promised to be one of the most troublesome questions before the Closer Union Convention, just as it, has been in the case of Australia. Strong forces are being brought to bear on behalf of Pretoria, whilst others are equally strong on behalf of Capetown. It is impossible to say which will prevail.
