SCHOOL CADETS' MATCH. [by telegraph— own correspondent.] Paeiioa, Monday. A shooting match between teams of 10 a-side from the Karangahake and Paeroa School Cadets took place at Karangahake on Saturday, the Paeroa team winning by 513 points to 405. COMPETITIONS AT THAMES. [BY telegraph —own CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Monday. The quarterly competition for the Rogers cup was tired by the members of the ilauraki Rifles on Saturday and also for a prise presented by Sergeant D.ildy for second-class shots. Both prices were won by the same competitor (Sergeant Gollop). Another second-class man (Corporal Williams) also shot well, making the same total score, as the winner, viz., 77, but Sergeant (Jullop having made the biggest score at the long range was declared the winner. The conditions were 10 shots each at 500 yds and &OOvds, and the following were the principal scores:—Sergeant Gollop, 77; Corporal Williams, 77; Sergeant Thompson, 72; I Gibson, 71; Sergeant Daldy. 68; Colour-Sergeant Curgenven, 63; Privates Lockwood and Autridge, 63 each; Lieutenant Redwood. 61; Private Clark, 61; Private Paterson, 58; Private llellesoe, 51. AKARANA RIFLE CLUB. The members of the Akarana Rifle Club fired their usual trophy matches oil Saturday afternoon on their range "at Penrose. A class members fired for Messrs. Wingate and Co.'s trophy, the ranges being 600vds and 700vds, 10 shots at each. Mr. M. Atkinson was the winner with 83 points, and as lie was successful the last occasion on which this valuable trophy was competed for'it. becomes his personal property. The surprise of the day was the splendid scoring of the B class members, Mr. J. Sorensen being the highest scorer of the day with 88. two paints ahead of Mr. A. Purchase, The 46 compiled by Mr. J.
