[by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.] ... :,.:;. : / ,; Dcnedin, Monday., * At the inquest held on the body of John* Major, engine-driver, who committed suiside at the Mosgiel railway station on Saturday, the evidence showed that deceased suffered keenly owing to "domestic troubles. On a piece of paper found in deceased's pocket was written "Good-bye, EJlen. I hope God will forgive you aa 1 have forgiven you. I still love you, with all your faults. I will end this life on arrival at Mosgiel to-day. lam quite sane." Letters setting forth deceased's troubles were addressed to Mr. Widdowson, S.M. The jury returned a verdict of death from a bullet wound while temporarily insane. " j ' ■■■ ■■
