DRAINAGE OF GISBORNE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Gishorn'E, Wednesday. Though the cose of Mr. Jickell's complete system of drainage runs to £107,000, it is stated that this includes reticulation over a large area that is very sparsely settled, and that in the engineer's opinion an expenditure of about £70,000 would suffice for the present needs of the borough.
