BOWLING.

ANNUAL MEETING OF CARLTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Carlton Bowling Club was held last evening in the pavilion at the green, Newmarket. The meeting was largely attended. The teport congratulated the members on a successful season. During the year 12 inter-club matches were played, the club teams winning 10 and losing two. The season's fixtures resulted as follows:-—Cham-pion match, B. Wrathall: president's, R. Eagle ton : pair?, B. Wrathall and J. Hislop; bracelet, W. W. Otter: two bowk, I. Mills; first-year players, J. McLean. The membership shows an increase of 12 active members, the state of the roll now being 63 active, 11 honorary, and three life members. The new green of six rinks, which has been lying idle during the past year, will be brought into playing condition this coming treason, and it is hoped will give every satisfaction. The. club was represented in the team which toured New South Wales last season by Messrs. Laurie and McOallum. and was also ably represented at the North Island Bowling Association's tournament, held in Auckland last season, by Messrs. Ronayne, Holmes, Wrathall, Wilson (skip), Ourteis, Eagleton, Laurie, and Kilgour (skip). The rinks played and won 13 matches, thus winning the champion shield and banner of the N. 1.8. Association for a second time, securing the honour of being the only club to win the shield and banner twice. The club was represented by rinks at, the Auckland Provincial Bowling Association, Rotorua, and Te Aroha tournaments without success, while at Hamilton tournament, the championship of the Waikato was won by the club's secretary, Mr. H. McKnight. The winter green continues to be very popular, the rinks being crowded every Saturday. The treasurer's report showed the financial position to bo satisfactory, the assets exceeding liabilities by £200. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. J. Haresnape; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. Cahill and C. G. Laurie; hon. secretary, Mr. H. McKnight; lion, treasurer, Mr. T. Ronayne; auditor, Mr. J. C. Badily; green superintendent, Mr. J. Kilgour; general committee, Messrs. D. McGregor, A. Holmes, J. C. Badily; match committee, Messrs. _ ,T. Kilgour, D. McGregor, and B. Wrathall; delegates to A.P.8.A.. Messrs. W. T. Fletcher and C. G. Laurie; delegate to N.1.8.A., Mr. E. Hill. The meeting terminated with votes of thanks to the ladies who assisted at entertaining- during the season, and also to tho donors of trophies.

CAMBRIDGE CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Cambridge Bowling Club Mr. Thos. Wells (president) was in the chair. The hon. secretary (Mr. M. Butler) read the report and balancesheet, the latter showing a credit balance. The election, of officers resulted as under: — President, Mr. J. H. Hammond; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. R. Fisher and M. Butler; hon. secretary, Mr. W. T. Jones; hon. treasurer, Mr. F. J. Brookes; general committee, Messrs. T. Wells, J. Ferguson, G. E. Clark, H. J. Davys, J. Lundon, and R. Carr. Several new members were elected. The trophies won during the season were handed over by Mr. Wells to the winners, and votes of thanks were accorded to the Domain Board and to the donors of trophies, a special vote being accorded to Mr. Wells.
