Burns) presiding. , ■""• ' ' The report of the house surgeon gave the num. |. ber of patients in the wards as 30 males and 11 I female*; number admitted during the month, 28 . males and eight females; discharged, 28 males , and 13 females; out-patients, 21 males and 10 fe- • males; attendances, 280 males and 89 females : operations, 17.,, . . The House Committee reported that the plans > for the new consumptive shelters were being prepared by Mr. Currie, of Auckland, end it was i expected that they would be ready to lay before , the trustees at the next meeting. The committee . also acknowledged the receipt of the following voluntary donations:—Hospital ball committee, ' £55 13s lOd; Turua Hospital' social, £15; the I Hon. James McGowan,,£l; the Very Rev. " The medical superintendent's report for June gave the admissions as 43, discharges 37, deaths four, operations five, consultations , two, and patients remaining for treatment 36. Accounts amounting to £351 13s' lOd were [ passed for payment. \ A deputation from the Thames United Friendly 1 Societies' Conference waited upon the trustees and asked that members of the conference and their wives and families up to 16 years of age be • treated in the Waihi. Hospital at two-thirds (14s) ; I of the ordinary rates, the conference to guarantee the payment*. - After the delegates had been, • heard and the matter discussed it was decided [ that tho matter be deferred for one month to enable the Thames conference delegates * to confer with the Waihi conference, ; with a view to drawing up a. scheme to be submitted to both the Thames and Waihi Hospital ; authorities relative to the payment of fees, the . idea being to have a reciprocal arrangement on a common basis, i,~■■ * . • •
