FATAL FALL FROM A TRAP.

He met with an accident on Saturday uighiWhile driving «•• gig on the Mborhottbc Avenue tramline the vehicle collided with a tramway pole, and Hughes was thrown out. He was taken tc the hospital and attended to, and afterwards removed to the police station, a charge of drunkenness being preferred against him. Next morning he was taken back to the hospital, where he died of cerebral hemorrhage. At the >ji<]tie.st tins ■.after* noon r verdict was returned thai the deceased died from injuries received by being thrown from uis gig while in a state of intoxication.
