RAILWAY AMALGAMATION.
GREAT ENGLISH SCHEME. By Telegraph ■ Press Association.—Copyright. London,, June I. The Railway News announces that the Great Central and North Eastern Railway Companies, with a capital of one hundred and sixty millions sterling, and owning 2408 miles of line, propose to introduce a joint working Bill to enable them to work together, thus saving the duplication of trains and reducing working expenses. It is reported that the Board of Trade does not object to the scheme. ■
