THE GOVERNOR.
To-morrow His Excellency the Governor will preside at the annual gathering of the Auckland Bands of Hope, in the Royal Albert Hall. On Saturday Lord Plunket will attend the Savage Club's "korero." On Tuesday next Their Excellencies and suite will leave for Napier, en route to I'almerstoii North, where they will take up their residence for the winter months. Last evening Lady Plunket attended a meeting of the Mothers' Union of- Si. Matthew's parish.
