Norman 111. was bred in the United States and was transported to England when a yearling. Last season lie contested nine races, but he only succeeded in winning two small events, and altogether his form was of a poor character. Sir Archibald, who filled the role of runner-up in the Two Thousand Guineas, ranked with, the best of last season's performers, so that it. is quite evident the American colt has greatly improved since he saw most of the field home in the Dewhurst Plate, run at Newmarket last October.
