The Victorian estate of the late Mr. David Stow, owner of the newspapers Age and Leader, ha? been valued for probate purposes .-it £879,555. The will provides for a sum of £50,000 to bo put aside as « fund for public institutions. Liberal allowances are made to- certain employees and to his five Join;, who aro carrying on the business of the Age and the Leader. (Received April 17, 9.52 H.m.t Melbourne, April 17, The late Mr. Syme left bequests to the literarv and other members of the Age staff, ranging from £50 to £500.
