Me. Julius Knight, supported by Miss Ola Humphrey and Mr. J. C. Williamson's Dramatic Company, opens to-night at His Majesty's Theatre in Orczy-Barstow's famous romantic drama, "The Scarlet Pimpernel." The new plays deals with the adventures of Sir 'Percy Blakoney in his brave schemes for smuggling French refugees out of Paris during the exciting times of 1792. This he achieves under the impenetrable disguise which has won him the sobriquet that gives the play its title. His wife accidentally assists the French envoy, Chauvelin, to track down the Scarlet Pimpernel, but on discovering that Sir Percy is the man wrane him of his danger, and becomes united to him or. more, after long estrangement, as the curtain fall*. The play lends itself to elaborate mountings, dresses, and scenery, which is said to havie been taken full advantage of by Mr. J. C. Williamson's staff of artists, etc. Mr. Julius Knight, as Sir (Percy Blakoney, is said to have never boon seen to better advantage, while Miss Ola Humphrey, as Marguerite Biakoney, gives a charming representation of a difficult charecter. The full' cast includes Mr. Harry Plimmer as the Prince of Wales. Mr. Reynolds Denniston as Sir Andrew Ffoulks, Mr. Herbert Bentley as Lord Anthony Dewhnrst, Mr. Edgar Harris as Lord GS-renvillo, Mr. Leslie "Victor as Chauvelin, Mr. ii. Walters as Comtede Totirnai, Mr. A. S. McKay as Vicomte do Touruai, Mr. Walter Hunt as Armand St. Just, Mr. Geo. Chalmers as Jellyband, Mr. liege Rede a- Mr. Hernpseed, Mr. Rupert Julian as Herbert, Mr. 2Vlf. Andrew 7 as Ohepy, Mr. Stanly Walpole aa Citizen Captain, Mr. Dudley Clinton as Grogard, Miss Ada Sterling as Comtesse do Tournai. Miss Elwyn Harvey as Suzanne de Totirnai, Mi*' Mary Marlowe as Sally Jellyband, Miss Katie Towers as Mere Brogard, Miss K. Chalmers as Lady IPortarles, and Miss Jean Martin as Duchess of Warminster.
