ROCKY NOOK CLUB. Champion Singles.—Wakerley v. Dr. Moir: The first game resulted in a tic, 17 all. on the 21st bead, and an extra- three heads again resulted in a tie. A further three heads ended similarly, as did a fourth attempt to decide supremacy. This made 30 heads in ail, and "it was then agreed that one head should be played, which was won by Wakerly by about half-an-inch on a measure, in the second game the contestants . lied on the 20th head with 16, and Wakerley won the 21st head on the measure by the thickness of a threepenny-piece. Handicap Singles: Wakerley (owes 4), 24, beat Wheeler (owes 1), 17. Hirst (owes 1), 21, beat Ellisdon (owes 4), 20. Wakerley (owes 4), 33, beat Sayers (receives 8), 13. Championship Pairs: W. Jenkin and B. S. Kayes (skip), 26. v. N. Pearco and J. E Wheeler (skip), 25. This match resulted in a tie (24) on the 21st head, and an extra three heads were played; and when Wheeler had played his last ball the sides were equal; but Kayes, with liis last ball, drew the shot, and won the head- and the r«atch. The pairs left in are Jenkin and Eaves who are to play Paterson and Haselden, and lfaslett and Ellisdon, who will plav T:ittersall and Martin. THAMES V. TE AEOHA. >■ [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COIIIIBSI'ONDEIfT.] THAMES, Saturday. The annual fixture between the Te Aroha and Thames Clubs was played this afternoon oil the local green, but owing to a number of the Te Aroha players Having other engagements, only two teams arrived, and the match was played between two teams from each club, resulting in a, win for Thames by 44 points to 33- The play was fairly even for the first half of the game, Thames having a slight lead of two at the 13th head, but from then on the local teams gradually improved their position, and. eventually won by 11 points. The Thames Club matches are now drawing towards a finish. The championship genii-finals have to he fought out between Paul v. Clarke, and Sykes v. Tasker, and will be played next week. The handicap pairs final re-ts between Jordan and Tasker v. Lucas and Clark, while the handicap singles final will be decided between F. Sykes and A. Court-
