In connection .with the Driice case, a reward of £100 lias been offered for the recovery of Miss Robinson's diary, which she alleges was stolen from her while she was gazing at a shop window in the Strand. Detective Hackle has discovered at Ontario a housemaid who was formerly in Dr. Shaw's employ in London. She declares that Dr. Shaw attended Thomas Charles Druce (who, it is claimed, was the fifth Duke of Portland) in 18(53 and 1864.
