Wairt, Monday. At a meeting of those interested on Saturday night it was decided to take stops, to form a new Workers' Co-operative Society in Waihi. Constable Molnnes, of the local police force, has been granted six weeks' leave of absence, and left this morning for Auckland, en route to the Islands, to spend his vacation. The vital statistics for the borough of Waihi for the quarter ended June 30 show that the births registered numbered 76, deaths 23, and marriages 15. A final meeting will be held next week in connection with the formation of a borough to embrace Kiirangahako and Mackaytown. Signatures will then be attached to the petition, and the revised boundaries fixed, i after which the documents will bo forwarded on to -the Governor. •'<
