MAIL SERVICE QUESTION.

Brisbane, June 4. The Premiers' Conference yesterday adopted a resolution urging that as the question o£ refrigerated freight is seriously affected by the question of the mail service remaining unsettled, immediate steps should be taken by the Commonwealth to arrange a satisfactory contract.
x-Mr. Cairuthers proposed a, resolution objecting to a proposed agreement for the transfer of the Northern Territory to - ths Commonwealth. The motion was carried.
It was decided to send the New South Wales entomologist on a visit to countries I infested with fruit fly, to inquire into means I of fighting the peat. (Beceivod June 5. 1.8 a.m.) Brisbane, June 4. i The Premiers' Conference, after dealing with a number of minor questions, closed' yesterday.
