DOWNFALL OF A FAVOURITE. By Telegraph.—Press Association Copyright \ Berlin, June 3. The German newspapers report the downfall of" Count Euleriberg,; a powerful favourite at the German Court. Count Caprivi's downfall was due to his influence, and it is alleged that he recently plotted against Prince Bulow, the present Imperial Chancellor. , , • ■ " ___■ ■.'.. __________ .... Count Caprivi was appointed successor to Prince Bismarck in March, 1890, and resigned suddenly in October, 1894, owing to friction with Count Eulenberg respecting the method of treating tho malcontents •of the Agrarian League.
