A movement has been initiated, in Lei- 1 cestershire for inducing the members of the various cricket, football, and other athletic clubs in the county to qualify in the knowledge and use of the rifle, and has received the sanction of the officers of all the clubs approached. The scheme has been submitted to Mr. Haldane, Lord Roberts, General Bulle'r, Sir A.
