Putty went to the front entering the straight, and striding away from his opponents, the Auckland horse won easily by six lengths. Apologue finished fourth. Time, 2m. 275. In the Second Hurdle Race, the New Zealand horse Lionheart finished a bad third to Superstition and Ryde. Melbourne, June 3. ■ The weather was dull and cold for the VRC Meeting to-day.
