It is rumoured that two racehorse-owners who were ejected by the racing club's private detective from the Wingatui racecourse intend instituting legal proceedings.:-; -.;; The Hon. J. A. Millar received several deputations to-day. Qne from the Drain- j age Board asked that the subsidy of £100 promised for the drainage of the Government buildings should be increased. The Minister promised to bring the matter before Cabinet. Nelson-, Monday. An interesting conference between representatives of local bodies of the district and members of Parliament took place today, when the former urged the establishment of an experimental farm in the district.
