The seas on the Glenledi beach have been very heavy lately, and the wreck of the Marguerite Mirabaud was completely overwhelmed. In consequence of the heavy seas the vessel has parted amidships, the deck being cracked right across. Wreckage is coming ashore.

The Marguerite Mirabaud, a French barque of 1732 tons register, whilst on the voyage from La .. Pallice to Tahiti, ; , was driven ashore near Dunedin in February last during a heavy gale, and , became a total wreck. All the crew were saved. /
