London, June 1. The Tribune says the Shipping Federation is promoting an international combination of shipping interests, in order to fight the maritime trades unions.

A cablegram stated recently that the secretary of the Seamen's and Firemen's Union had announced that a movement was afoot in all the ports of the United Kingdom to make a demand on shipowners for an increase of 10s a month in: wages in respect to foreign-going ships, and from 2s to 3s per month in respect to coasting vessels. , .
