THEFT OF BOOTS.

At the I Police Court -on Saturday, before Mr. R. W. Dyer, S.M., a middle-aged man named Robert Burns pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of boots, valued at 12s 6d, the property of Joseph Taylor.

J Station-Sergeant Hendry said that on Friday night Burns was seen loitering about tho complainant's shop for some time, and a constable noticed him take a pair of boots and place them under his coat. He was then arrested. ~
