CROWN LAND SALES.
Ax auction sale of -Crown lands was conducted at the Crown Lands Office yesterday by the Commissioner (Mr. J. Mackenzie). An acre town section (225), in. the town of Rawene, was sold to Mr. W. E. Dive for £10 (upset price). Two sections (17 and 18) of suburban lands, in tho town of Purapura (near Waiuku), elicited some competition. The' upset price was £47, the price given by the purchaser (Mr. W. J. Morrow) being £107. Section 1, Block VII., 26 perches, village of Drury, brought £1 10s. Sections 16 and 17, 49 acres 1 rood 24 porches, Waiuku East parish, unset price £112, were passed in. Tho following rural lands were disposed of at the upset prices:—Section S.W. 3, Arapohue parish, 5 acres 3 roods, Samuel Dodd, £12; section 18a, Hukoreuui survey district, 2 acres, C. J. Ruinock, £4.
